Honors Peer Leader
As I reflect back on this opportunity as an Honors Peer Leader, I realize I learned as much from the incoming honor students as they did from me this semester. This experience was a great way to connect with other honors students from different programs and gave me the opportunity to inspire incoming students by sharing what the Honors program has done for me. It reminded me of my first honors experience, and the excitement I had to sign up for the next adventure. I never imagined the growth I would experience, as I met one on one with each of the students in my class. Learning the best way to approach the different individual personalities was a challenge and gave me insight on how to work with groups of people in the future. I plan to utilize this knowledge in my future market research profession.
Serving as an Honors Peer Leader was also a great opportunity to interact in community with my fellow peer leaders. Connecting with other peer leaders, sharing our struggles and successes, as we trained to become better leaders.
Through this experience I realized how excited I was about the Honors Program and all of the opportunities that are available at the University of Cincinnati. It inspired me to apply to be a Roar Tour Guide, so that I could interact on a weekly basis with potential new students and their parents and share that excitement.
